BUYING MY DOG EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you bought your dog everything he touched during a shopping trip? Well, that’s exactly what I decided to do—and let’s just say, my furry friend had no idea the day he was about to have!

The rules were simple: anything my dog touched with his paw, nose, or even tail—we’d buy. From the moment we walked into the pet store, his eyes lit up. The smell of treats, the squeaky toys, the rows of colorful collars… it was like Disneyland for dogs. And this time, there were no limits.

The first thing he ran to? A giant plush squeaky toy shaped like a taco. One sniff, one paw tap—boom, into the cart it went. Then he trotted over to the treat aisle, his nose twitching like crazy. He lightly nudged a bag of bacon-flavored biscuits, so of course, those were coming home with us too. Before I knew it, we had half the aisle in our cart!

Next, he brushed up against a dog-sized bean bag bed. Was it expensive? Yes. Did he touch it with his tail while sniffing another item? Also yes. So… we bought it. As the pile of items grew, my dog started to realize something magical was happening. Suddenly, he was sniffing everything—on purpose. Sneaky little guy.

By the time we reached the grooming section, he had tapped a premium brush, a paw balm, and an adorable raincoat. Did he need a raincoat? Probably not. Did he touch it with his nose while pretending to inspect a shampoo bottle? Absolutely. Into the cart!

The final damage? Let’s just say my wallet is still crying. But the smile on his face—and the tail wag that nearly knocked over a display—was worth every penny. We ended the day with a trip to the dog park to show off his new gear and treats, and he was strutting like a superstar.

This wasn’t just a fun experiment—it was a reminder of how much joy our pets bring us every day. They ask for so little, yet give us unconditional love, loyalty, and endless laughter. Spoiling him for a day was the least I could do.

So, if you’re thinking of doing something special for your dog—try it. Take them shopping and let them “choose.” You’ll be amazed at how much fun you’ll both have. Just don’t be surprised if they start figuring out the rules and milking it for all it’s worth.
